Not only does she provide event planning and management with Eventistry, but she also works with the amazing vendors and couples of Northeast Ohio with her wedding show company We Thee Wed. So without delay, let’s meet Diana!
Hi Diana, tell us what you do!
I am a wedding planner but I mostly specialize in wedding management which most people would look at as day-of coordination (which is a unicorn service and doesn’t exist). I also organize wedding shows all over northeast Ohio.
What’s your business story? How did you get started as a wedding planner and wedding show organizer?
My story of becoming a wedding planner begins like many others, with my own wedding in 2009. As much as my mother and I joked about how I could write a book about “how not to plan your wedding”, I still loved it. The organization that was involved, the management that needed to happen. Did I feel overwhelmed at times? Yes. If I knew then what I know now, I would have hired a wedding planner. But I didn’t and I thrived in the end.
Then I started helping people I knew with their weddings and events and it just became something I truly loved to do. I decided to form my LLC after a very convincing conversation with a friend and my husband who encouraged me to do it.
When I started my company, I was connected to my friend Karen, who at the time was running We Thee Wed. We’ve worked together since then creating inclusive wedding shows in my spare time.
What do you love about what you do?
Everything. I love meeting new people and learning their love story. I get to work with some amazing couples and professionals to put together exceptional celebrations all about two people. I love the organization and management and pulling everything together. It’s something I have always thrived on in my life. A huge rush for me is when I get to save the day. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does it feels so good to be able to do.
What makes you different from other wedding planners in the area?
I’ve very strait forward. I won’t sugar coat things and I will tell you what you need to do to get things done. I’m also beyond organized and overly prepared. My planning process is very thorough and touches on everything you need to plan your day and make it run smooth. I look for obstacles ahead of time and have plans A to Z already thought up.

Who is your ideal couple?
I embrace the unique and different. I love working with couples who think outside the box and want to stretch the idea of what a wedding should be like. Traditions are out the window!
Anything else awesome about you?
I also offer day-of decorating for those couples who don’t need a coordinator but still want help to get everything setup on the day. We have a meeting about 2 weeks before the wedding and then I arrive with my team and set up the ceremony and/or reception location exactly to your vision.
I take on a very limited number of weddings each year so that I am able to give my couples my full attention that they deserve.
